Overall a very nice katana! My only complaint is it’s not nearly as sharp as the other reviews made it seem to be.

Sword is absolutely beautiful, I don't think I could've gotten anything better at this price point. Ito is tight as can be, diamond pattern is pretty even over the whole handle. The brown wrap looks great over the black rayskin. The blade feels well balanced with a great finish. Not mirror polished but just short of it, and it's razor freakin' sharp. Haven't cut with it yet, but first impression is that this thing is made to cut. As other reviews have stated, there is a wax that comes out of the Saya onto the blade, but it comes of easily with a wipe, hopefully this will reduce over time. After drawing the sword, it does loosen up a bit, so I had to shim the koiguchi (the mouth of the saya) to tighten it up to my liking. Overall very pleased with this purchase. Ordered and received in less than a week

Badass sword, will slice through shit like a mFer!Thought fit and finish could be slightly better. Would give 4.5 stars for price.

This katana came in excellent condition. Everything is tight; the blade is razor sharp, and it looks great in person. I've always been partial to the black samegawa/brown ito look.
