    Very solid for the price

Bought scratch and dent version which have some minor damage to the black finish on the blade, that's not going to factor into the overall review but I thought I should mention it. This is a great cutter and probably the best katana I've used for the price (I prefer a more pronounced sori which is rare on inexpensive blades.) Sword is well balanced but feels a bit heavy, though since this seems intended primarily for cutting the weight can be an asset. The weight and sori do make for a bit of a slow draw though, so this might not be so great for iaijutsu. The fit and finish are solid, a few nitpicks would be the sloppy hamon (though once again the fact that it has a real one at this price range is somewhat impressive) and the cotton ito, which I will be replacing. Overall it looks cool and is highly functional, excellent value for money.
