    nice blade/average fit/finish

Blade surprisingly thin near habaki... non alternating wrap-c'mon ... Shoestring sageo # stars only for Ronin 1060 reputation

    Excellent bang for the buck

You won't find a tanto of this quality anywhere at this price. It ticks all the boxes, with the carbon steel, excellent fit, no play at the tsuka, very sharp, beautiful saya, well executed grinds & fuller, balance...I think I will go ahead and order the other 2!

    One Deluxe Tanto!

Posted by Steve "Bookie" Bookout on Dec 11th 2017

I love this! I love this! I feel that my tanto #1 is about as perfect as you can get for a tanto at this price range and even a few times more expensive. The point of balance is 1.25 inches ahead of the tsuba and gives a "good" feel to the tanto in your hand. There are no manufacturing marks on the blade or hardware at all. The diamond shaped blade tip is evenly made and should provide exceptional thrusting/piercing performance. No wobble or play what-so-ever with the tsuba & seppa. The diamonds on the tsuka are next to absolute perfect--the best I've seen on any Japanese style blade coming out of China and that's no exaggeration! The saya is very smooth & black. No buffalo horn here, but everything is neatly executed. This beauty is just plain flawless in my opinion and I definitely received my monies worth from Ronin Katana. The Number 1 is a steal at twice the price.
