    Better than I expected!!

Posted by Mohammed Khan on Mar 23rd 2021

I got the scratch and dent sale version but found not problems with it. This is my first katana. Just had some marks of glue or other factory material which I cleaned easily and carefully. Sword blade is very sharp.

    Ronin Dojo Katana #4

Posted by First-time sword owner on Aug 26th 2020

This product came fully equipped for use out of the box. The fittings were tight and secure, and the blade was well oiled. I look forward to using this sword in the future.

    Beautiful

Posted by CJ on May 29th 2020

The katana arrived within a week, and in perfect condition. The design of the tsuba is even prettier in person. The customer service was wonderful responding to the questions I had about the blade's sori very quickly. The sword is beautiful. All the fittings are very tight and there's no rattle in the saya. I highly recommend the dojo pro line and am grateful for all the research I put in because, for this price, the quality is very hard to beat. A beautiful sword, amazing customer service: I couldn't be happier.

    Good solid sword

Posted by Matthew biafore on Jun 17th 2016

Overall I was very pleased with this katana. The balance is good and everything came really tight and solid. I like how solid the tsuba was and it didn't have any sharp edges like I've heard other people report. The wrapping was tight and nothing rattles or came loose. The blade is straight and came pretty sharp. It polished up nice and didn't have any blemishes on it. My only complaint was with the saya. It had a few scratches at the bottom and the kurikata had broken loose, damaging the lacquer around it slightly. Aside from that, all of the "working" parts of the katana were well assembled. I was also impressed with Ronin's customer service and how quickly Chris responded to any and all of my emails. I would def recommend this to anyone considering getting one. I plan on getting an elite model in the future.

    1st "Real" sword

Posted by J. Thomas on Jun 4th 2015

Bought this "Satori" model in early 2013. It set my standard. It's on the heavy side; which suits me fine, and it's not abnormally so. I like the fittings. The buffalo horn, habaki, and tsuba. The ito was a bit loose; I was able to correct this. The saya is very nice; I personally like the buffalo horn. The ha side of the koiguchi is very thin. I worry about it splitting on a bad draw, so this is strictly a mat cutter right now, no Iai. But, truthfully, that's were this blade excels. Heavy cutting. The blade is a tank. It has the "ghost hamon". It's geometry is suitable. The O-kissaki is a personal fav. I plan on owning another Ronin very soon. I'm excited to see if the few (small) issues have been addressed. Again, this sword is a tank. It's cut every target I've put in front of it.
