    Ronin Euro #9 Arming Sword/€

Posted by Dana R Sanderson on Sep 5th 2019

Comparable to other swords like Cold Steel Man at Arms. The leather buckles on the sheath are junk. I took them off and put on a nice frog made it into a nice sword. Needs more fine sharpening. Overall a good sword for the price.

Clean, sturdy, came sharp enough, would order one of them over a $750 version because i think this quality would be better

    Euro #9

Posted by SCOTT MILLER on Feb 20th 2019

A SWORD FOR A GOOD & PROPER KNIGHT A damn fine sword at an unbelievable price! Don't be fooled by the low price - this particular model has been extensively tested for durability -- just take a look at some of the YouTube videos. Yeah you could get yourself an Albion and pay four times as much for a medieval sword and then be reluctant to use it for cutting or HEMA, or . . . you can get an RK Euro #9 and not have to worry about scratching up a $1000 sword -- in fact . . . for that price you can get FOUR Euro #9s!!! (Which is what I'd like to do myself!) The Euro #9 is, in my opinion a sword worthy of a name . . . Excalibur, Durendal, Joyeuse . . . I haven't name my Euro #9 yet, but I did name my Euro #7 (another stellar RK product) -- I call it "Epitaph" -- I'm thinking up some bold sounding names for my Euro #9 -- as I said . . . this weapon does deserve to be named. The only problem I've had with the Euro #9 is that it's so damn cool looking that everyone that's seen it WANTS it! My son wants one, my daughter wants one, my brother-in-law wants one, a couple of friends want one too! Truth be told, I've already been asked if I want to sell it. (No, I don't!) I can't wait to take this thing to the medieval faire! I also would like to note that this particular sword probably could be easily customized by changing the grip color and scabbard color and then maybe adding some other flourishes. Finally, let me comment on the scabbard: Overall . . . a very nice scabbard, although the belt and buckles that come with it are a bit cheesy, so you might want to invest in a leather belt and frog (sword carrier). This would make a nice graduation present, wedding gift, attaboy award, birthday present or something cool to get with your tax refund.///

    Love it

Posted by Unknown on Nov 28th 2017

Really solidly built, looks and feels high quality. Love the profile/shape of the blade, exactly as I hoped for. Looks great, quite sharp. Some tiny, minuscule imperfections in the blade, nothing that bothers me. Really can't stress enough how small the one main blemish I found is, and the other is barely a scuff mark. Both of which could easily buffed or ground out. Feels a bit heavy. Not clumsy, and while I've never handled any other one handed swords, I can't claim that this one feels specifically nimble or agile. Biggest con: faux-leather handle wrapping cord is coming off already, on 1st day of ownership, from only a bit of swinging in the air. I planned to re-wrap handle someday anyway, but not great to see so soon. Overall, I love it. My first real sword, and despite the minor flaws I am impressed and satisfied. Really pleased with the price and very plain finish, perfect for customization.

    outstanding sword

This european sword is amazing! It's a bit smaller than I thought, but the balance is superb, feels very alive in hand. Very nicely done, the fuller is centered, and is paper cutting sharp all through the blade. The tip is beautiful. The handguard is quite solid, feels like you could bash a brick with it. The handle is very nicely wrapped with leather, and the pommel is solid and beautiful. It is peened for greater durability. I already cut the carboard box it came in, and it performed admirably, really clean cut and no damage to the blade, wich feels quite sturdy. The only fault I could find ( actually not me, but people in forums) is that it's not "historically accurate", but I don't care about it, I love this sword. Will buy the other model as soon as I recapitalize. So, if you want an euro sword that is wicked sharp out of the box, well built, sturdy, gorgeous looking, and handles well, look no further! BEST costumer service as well!!

    Beyond beautiful

The sword is of a superb quality and very beautifully designed. The weight is perfectly balanced from point to pommel and the leather grip gives you a secure and comfortable grip. You can not go wrong with this sword. It is a must for any serious collector or someone who wants a realistic longsword of unquestionable quality.
