    Ronin Katana Dojo Pro #4

Posted by Shannon Glenn on Aug 30th 2023

I read the comments others left about scratch and dent katanas and I decided to take a chance. I can't find any defects that should have placed my sword in the scratch and dent pile. I am very happy with my purchase. On my example, the handle wrap is very tight and the Saya fits perfectly. The blade had no scratches and is very sharp. The overall fit and finish is excellent. The tsuba does not have any sharp edges. At this price level, I don't think you can get a better sword.

Didn’t have any faults or major markings

The sword looked in great shape. Only had dirt, glue, dust on the blade that can be cleaned easily. Material and wrap was well done and tight. Blade is very sharp and once cleaned it was beautiful. No loose parts at all. Be careful when cleaning the blade; Do not cut yourself.

    This is scratch and dent?

Posted by Kyle Mitchell on Mar 26th 2021

This sword is really good, it is hard for me to believe this is a scratch and dent sale. The quality of this sword is easily above others I have paid full price for. there is a chip on the underside of the Tsuba and a polish scratch, both are very minor. This is so hard to believe this is a factory second! I'm new to this, but all the fittings Saya, Tsuba, Handle, are very snug, better than anything I have purchased so far. The quality of the fittings helps a lot. The sword is easier for me to control than the previous swords I have used. So far I have just cut pool noodles. the cut easily and the sword performed well. One of my kids left a thick plastic toy in one of them and hitting the plastic dulled the blade. Plastic can be deceptively hard so I am not too worried about it. The blade was also very easy to sharpen and bring it back to a razor edge. I highly recommend it! The quality just makes me want to purchase another one of their swords.

    Honestly Beyond Impressed

Posted by Gavin Rhodes on Mar 25th 2021

So as a preface, this is actually my first sword of any type. I've done my fair share of research and decided to bite the bullet by buying a scratch and dent sale one to test my luck. The only real damage that occurred to mine was that the kurikata (the part the sageo knots through) was broken off. Though that's easily fixed with some simple carpenters glue, so that's no problem. At first I noticed some blueish gold/brown blemishes on the blade that I thought were some sign of damage, but it must've been some residue as it came off after wiping it down with 91% isopropyl alcohol. Besides that I can't even find a scratch or dent on the blade itself. I can only highly recommend this site to everyone honestly. After seeing how good of condition these ones were, I decided to order an entry level clay tempered as well to see what a pristine conditioned blade will be like! If you're thinking about biting the bullet, I'd highly recommend grabbing one of these as the price is such a steal for the low amounts of damage everyone seems to get!

Where are the scratches and dents?

I fall in with many others who have bought from the scratch and dent sale and cannot find a flaw in the sword. The same may be discolored, (shrugs) but even that I cannot be sure of. These are great deals and you will not be disappointed
