Ronin Katana Two Handed Long Sword #7

This is a beautiful and solid sword worth a good deal more than they charge. I have three different Ronin Katana Euro series and I highly recommend them.

    Ronin katana longsword #7

Posted by Carson on Jun 9th 2023

The sword is great. The guard has some slight movement but nothing super concerning. The sword is a bit heavy but still handles well. It is a little sharp but not much. It came with all sorts of oily residue spots on the blade which Is not a big deal since a simple clean and oil of the blade made those much less visible. The tip is not super sharp. Scabbard is great and the belt is awful. Overall it appears to be a gray buy.

    Exactly what I hoped for

    Posted by W C on Mar 2nd 2022

My first ever sword. It arrived in less than a week. I am not disappointed at all with the craftmanship. The tip is not completely symmetrical and the grip had a few threads coming out of it, but those are a small price to pay for such an inexpensive blade. Seems sufficiently sharp out of the box. The scabbard is very tight and that's my only real complaint, it requires quite a bit of force to remove the blade from the scabbard. Others have mentioned the poor retaining system, and I can mimic that as well, but those I see as an extra and have little effect on my opinion of the product.

    Two Handed Long Sword #7

Posted by SCOTT M on Sep 14th 2021

I've had my #7 sword for over two years now - having gotten mine in February 2019. I reviewed this sword previously, and I stand by my original comments. If there were any durability problems with this sword -- I would've found out about them by now. I got mine via the famous RK "Scratch & Dent" sale - and I ended up marking up the blade really badly with a whetstone trying to make a razor sharp sword even sharper. I don't know what I was thinking, but all the scratches on the blade give it a sort of uneven satin finish. Anyway, the blade is solid . . . and so is the construction. Yes, you can go out and get an Albion or Lockwood sword and pay four times as much for a sword you'd probably be afraid to do any cutting with . . . or, you can order yourself a Ronin Katana and have fun with it. This sword is also handy for home defense and I would trust this sword if I ever had to use it in that fashion. Finally, it's nice knowing you can get three or four RK swords for what you'd be paying for an Albion!

I love this sword. It's elegant and simple. It cuts well and handles beautifully. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a longsword.

very nice sword, scabbard is a bit too tight.

the sword itself is incredible at this price. well balanced and durable. the scabbard is too tight, however. first time I drew the sword I had to put my feet on the guard and pull the scabbard with my hands. aside from that its perfect.

    Nice Product

This is my first sword purchase, so I dn't have a lot of experience with sword evaluation. It does seem sturdy well made. I have also ordered the Crusader sword from Ronin Katana. I will have a better idea once that sword arrives.

    EURO #7 LONGSWORD

Posted by SCOTT MILLER on Nov 2nd 2020

If you want a weapon-grade sword, you want to get yourself a Ronin Katana. If you want to do some heavy-duty backyard cutting, get yourself a Ronin Katana. If you want a durable sword you could take on a medieval battlefield, a zombie apocalypse, or for home or personal defense . . . you can't go wrong with a Euro #7 Longsword. Besides the durability of the sword, you're not going to lay out an enormous amount of cash for this sword either. Take my advice (I'm a proud owner of a Euro #7 . . . among other Ronin Katana weapons) and order yourself this sword from RK directly, Sword Buyers Guide, or Kult of Athena. Do it! You can't go wrong.
