Samurai Sword Clay Tempered Katana Model #12

I was looking for a real Katana that wouldn't cost an arm & a leg, something in the "$300 or less" price range. Considered the Dojo Pro series, but decided on the RK since I didn't care about looks but functionality. First impressions: it looks GOOD, way nicer than I expected for the money I spent. The fittings are tight, nothing rattles, ito wrapped nicely, and the fit on the saya is perfect. The blade is super-sharp, cuts thru paper like butter. I plan to use this on cutting mats only, so I don't think this blade will have a problem with those. Blade looked great, no nicks, dents, etc. and the hamon is nicely done. Shout out the folks at Ronin Katana, especially Chris for answering my questions so quickly. Shipping was super-fast, ordered Sunday evening and the sword arrived on Tuesday afternoon.

For an entry level katana, you cannot match the fit and finish of this sword. It's tight and well constructed. Having a true hamon also adds to the overall quality. I would recommend.
