    Great Starter Katana

This Katana is really solid and the green is very nice. Its my first Katana and my first full sized sword I have a kindjal and wakizashi but the're both short swords, anyways the blade is really solid the wrap is tight, the guard is rock solid. All in all it was worth every penny and then some. I'd highly recommend it to someone who's looking to buy a good solid sword without breaking the bank

    Pretty fine blade but...

When I received this sword I was very excited because I've seen and read many good things about Ronin Katana. The shipping was crazy fast, ordered it on a thursday and it came on tuesday, again, very impressive. Right when I got it I immediately unsheathed and cut the cardboard box it came in into two pieces, after removing the oil of course. On saturday the following week I went to my friends house and proceeded to cut milk jugs and gatorade bottles. After this cutting session the seppa(I think that's what they're called, they are the fittings on top of and on the bottom of the tsuba)were loose along with the tsuba and habaki. This was disappointing because of all the great things I've heard about Ronin Katana. Maybe I'm just unlucky and got the bad end of the stick. I plan on buying the ronin habaki set #1 and the RK tsuba set Z-16 and I'm going to use them to see if I can get that rock solid fit on a katana that I desire so. The blade on the other hand is amazing for the cheap price, it rivals my friends $400.00 Jian in cutting ability, in fact, I just cut some paper with it. The blade fits snugly in the saya. Other than the loose fittings, there's nothing else I can complain about. I'm impressed by Ronin Katana, even if I did get the bad end of the stick.
