Scratch and Dent Ronin Elite Level Samurai Sword Bare Blade

just a few scratches on the flat of the blade and a little damage on the saya that I touched up with clear nail polish. The hamon is absolutely beautiful.

When I pulled this sword out of the box, I thought some mistake had been made. I couldn't find any scratches, dent or rust anywhere on it. After several minutes of intense scrutiny, I finally discovered a few teeny air bubble marks in the lacquer near the bottom of the saya. Further inspection yielded another lacquer problem on the tsuba where it went over the black buffalo horn fitting. It had the appearance of a drop of glue that seeped out of the seems and ran onto the horn fitting. Neither of these seemed to warrant a huge discount. So I kept looking. I stared down the blade until I couldn't see straight trying to convince myself it must be crooked, but alas, it was perfect. In fact, despite the minor lacquer issues, the sword is overall perfect and an incredible bargain. I am one thoroughly satisfied customer.
