Two Handed Long Sword - Fantasy Swords #3

I was mostly impressed with the Fantasy #3 "Ranger" sword. It feels quite solid, it is beautifully balanced, and has quite a small blade/guard gap. The blade has an incredible temper, returning to perfectly straight after being bent pretty far. The negatives are that they use a really poor leather if not vinyl as the grip material. And that the pommel is threaded, not peened. While this can be just as strong as a peen if done well, it is important to note. For the price it is great and can't by beat. The next options after this are all $600+, so at $350-400, this is a good steal.

I was looking forward to this sword to be released and purchased it as soon as I could. I am a fan over Ronin Katana European style swords. I was not sure what to expect with there fantasy line. Let me tell you in exceeded my expectations. The weight and balance are wonderful in the hand. It is for me the perfect bastard sword. You can use it easy in one hand and two is you need a power swing. The fitting are very nice but may need some fine sanding around the angle. They can be a little sharp. The grim is comfortable and seems durable. I would recommend this to any person that is looking for this style sword. You can not beat the price. I can't wait to get my next sword from Ronin.
