I am very pleased with this sword. It is still new, so it sticks a bit. I use iaijitsu, so I had to oil it a bit. No other complaints. I love the feel of the tsuka, no rattles anywhere. It cuts two mats clean and most way through the third , better than my Damascus katana in a four stack upward cut from saya. I will definitely recommend
I own 3 original swords .This one is the equal of any of them in function. As far as appearance and quality of fittings I dont see how they could be improved in this price class. As far as durability we shall see,but so far no problems.
You get a lot for the $ this is a very well made sword.
Everything about this Katana is very nice for the price. I just recently got into studying the Katana and find this purchase to be more than functional for my needs until I progress in the future to something more advanced and authentic.
