    Very functional and beautiful sword

Posted by Frank on Mar 8th 2017

I live in the Netherlands. I ordered the sword 16th februari and it was shipped the next day. It arrived in the Netherlands the 20th and was held by dutch customs for 10 days. Overall very fast shipping but I had bad luck with dutch customs. The sword blade itself is very precisely shaped, very precisely machined and very symmetrical! This was the most important point to me. The guard is very intricate an beautiful (especially on this model in my taste) All the fittings are high quality and tight even after a lot of swinging it in air. The ito (braid) on the handle did not move. The sword is so beautiful I hesitate to do tameshigiri with it lol. The handle has a nice hourglass shape and feels good to hold. It also feels very stiff and sturdy. The scabbard has a nice even coat of lacquer. The sword fits very snugly in the scabbard and I can hold the scabbard upside down and shake it lightly and the sword will not fall out. Overall a high quality product and a very functional sword. I am very happy with it.
