Beautiful and functional
I had purchased a Ronin Katana sword before, but not a European one. I was definitely not disappointed. The blade was solid, perfectly aligned, The leather covering the hilt is smooth, quality leather but not slick so it's easy to gain a solid handhold. The guard and pommel are both solid and well-crafted. Now to the scabbard - it's amazing. The leather is quality leather, the fixtures are a nice touch (although I don't get the apparent handle which doesn't seem to be functional as it's too narrow to actually hold so I assume it's decorative). The stitching is classy. I like everything about this sword and will be buying more swords from Ronin Katana.

Exceeded expectations
I recently bought the “scratched dented” version of the Viking Euro, 17 sword. There is neither a scratch or a dent on it. Absolutely beautiful, razor, sharp sword. It was seriously immaculate. I think the minor defect on it was the throat of the sheath didn’t pinch the sword enough to hold it in place which is a very easy fix. If this is a defective sword, then they have very high standards and I appreciate it and will buy from them again.. you guys rock.

What Scratches and Dents?
Seriously I can't for the life of me figure out why this was discounted, which speaks to the high standards Ronin clearly holds itself to. Beautiful craftsmanship all down the sword and to the scabbard, which is a lovely piece of work in its own right. Haven't gotten to slice anything with it yet, but I have little doubt it's up to the task

Solid sword and solid deal
Purchased a scratch and sent sale of this model…just an amateur collector here and never owned anything crazy nice. Tried rather hard under light to find what made this sword a “scratch and dent” model and I couldn’t tell you. Three other people I had look at this to show it off, no one could find a thing wrong. It’s hefty in its weight, but hey it’s fullered and it’s done well and symmetrically. It’s my new favorite sword within an intro budget range. It helps I’m in the same state as it’s shipping origins, but for what it’s worth it shipped within two hours of purchase, and arrived in a few days well packaged!
