    Tanto #1

Posted by Ben on Feb 20th 2022

A great deal for the money. The Ito wrap was way looser than on my #10 Ko Katana (by Ronin). I'd read critical reviews about the alloy fittings but for the price, I'd say they're ok and they at least are lightweight vs iron. The blade seems very nice and if it has some manufacture marks you can take the Tanto apart and polish everything. Says scabbard feels good. One of the gold colored metal ferrules fell out of the eye where the say wrap travels through. Pleasingly, this part was of brass and hard substantial thickness. I glued the part back in and it's better now. I think this is an amazing value for the money considering a multi tool often costs more. It's a big knife. My chief complaint is that Ito wrap, I can't fix that myself but it IS serviceable and does appear to be of silk. Took a star off for that wrap only.

This is a very nice tanto for the money. My daughter was really excited to get this for Christmas.

    Quality

Posted by David Z on Dec 14th 2021

Every time I unsheathe the there is weird white stuff that gets on the blade and there is a small nick on the edge itself that was present when I received the blade. The glue or whatever is used to hold the gold string thingy on the outside of the sheathe came undone and there is a visual defect in the material under the cloth wrap on the handle. Other than those things the blade was a lot sharper than I expected and the small defects don’t take away from the fact that it looks cool. It was pretty cheap so I imagine the things wrong with it are unavoidable so overall 4/5

DOJO PRO 1060 STEEL TANTO #1

I have this weapon 3 stars because the Tsuba is far too loose and does not fit the blade properly. The blade itself seems to be amazing. Everything else is great. But with this horrible tsuba, I’ll either need to get it fixed or buy another.

    Awesome sword!

I just have to say that for $70 this sword is super cool. It’s well made however it’s not as sharp as I thought it would be. Also the sageo string is kind of short. The craftsmanship is very good and outweighs the negatives, fun to pretend I’m a ninja.

Good sword, with a few problems...

Posted by Paydn Salen on Jul 24th 2021

When I first got it out of the box it looked really good, no immediate problems I could see. After a few minutes however I noticed the string, not sure what the official term is, had a very big cut in it and later broke in two. I was a bit mad but moved on, later on, a few days later, one of the plastic pieces fell off the sheath. Other than that it's a really good sword, 4.5/5.
