Pretty good but the handle was to tight

I went to clean the blade when i got my kit in. The handle was too tight for the shock technique and the inside of the handle cracked when got it off.

I am not a professional sword guy just a novice starting to get into sword play. I was amazed at the quality of this sword, there are very few things I have bought for $300 that are of such quality. I recommend this model and any other Ronin Katana p

This is the third sword I have purchased from Ronin Katana and like the other two this piece is well worth the money. It was on sale for $65.00 and I honestly cant believe how nice the product is for the price. I am now a loyal customer to Ronin Katana, I wish more companies took the time to give such great products and service for a very reasonable price. If you are thinking about buying any sword from these guys, stop thinking and put it in the cart you wont be disappointed.

    What a beautiful blade!

Posted by Tim on Feb 10th 2021

I'm no expert on Japanese blades. I bought this because it was on sale, and because I love the Euro #7 longsword I bought last year. I made the right choice. This tanto is beautiful! It also cuts well, though I've only used it on water bottles and such. Honestly, I like this tanto so much, I'm beginning to want to buy katana and wakazashi.

    Great Tanto for the price

Posted by Jack on Feb 4th 2021

Received my Ronin Tanto #1 yesterday and am very pleased with the product, blade was clean and very sharp, ido wrap was tight, saya fit was perfect, absolutely no complaints. I have a small collection of different samurai swords and this is my first tanto. for the sale price I will be ordering several more for gifts, well done Ronin Katana

    Ronin 1060 Tanto #1

Posted by Buchanan Vigoren on Dec 7th 2020

My favorite of the Ronin Tanto. Clean lines, smooth flats, always razor sharp, decent fittings, tsuka ito is more tight than on the tantos with black lacquered samegaway. The only downside I have noticed is the fit of blade to saya can have some rattle, but I notice this with all the models of tanto sold by ronin, about half will fit perfectly and about half will either be too tight or a bit too loose. In the case of too tight, it often loosens up with use, in the case of too loose, it can be easily fixed with glue and a (extremely thin) shim. In either case I is well worth the current $65 price tag.
