    Euro model #7

Posted by G.R. Bilyeu on Mar 14th 2024

I bought a scratch and dent model. This sword is flawless. I can't find a thing wrong with it. I've received brand new swords at full price from other manufacturers that weren't nearly this nice. It's beautiful all over. The weight and POB make it easy to accelerate with one hand or two. It's agile and easy to control. It's a good cutter but it's a deadly thrusting blade. It's as much fun stabbing water bottles as it is cutting them. This is the best deal. I love this sword! 10 out of 10

    Quite Pleased

Posted by Jos W on Aug 31st 2023

I bought this sword after having compared several online in this price range. I chose this one based on its weight and POB, and its aesthetics. I ordered one that was factory blemished. I was quite pleased when it arrived! The weight and balance are superb and exactly as I expected. If there is a blemish on this sword, I can't find it. The scabbard has a wood core and is covered in leather. As with a lot of swords in this price range, the leather isn't that great. You can tell it's a lower quality leather, and the belt is fairly flimsy. I tend to recover the grip and scabbard on swords that I buy, and so I anticipated that when I ordered this. That said, the grip and scabbard are decent, but the belt, not so much. I feel like the retail price might be a bit high given that, but, the blemished price is spot on, especially if you plan making a new belt, and/or recovering it. But again, the sword itself is excellent. The peen and hilt are solid, the blade is rigid, and is superbly weighted and balanced. I'd highly recommend this sword to anyone looking!

    Scratch and dent score!

Posted by Sean on Mar 1st 2021

Hey gang. I'm expecting you've already read reviews of this sword (https://www.sword-buyers-guide.com/euro-model-7.html), so I will not speak to the sword model, but will rather report on the condition of the sword itself as I purchased it for cheap during the scratch and dent sale. All in all it is for sure worth it. There are dozens of small scratches along the blade, going from edge to edge, that could simply be a result of regular use. The point is a little bent, and there are prominent scratches there too. Most concerning is a long, scratch right around the CoP, running parallel to the edge. I've done quite a bit of sanding and haven't conquered them yet. The stitched leather grip is coming off somewhat, so I glued it. The belt and system to attach it to the sword is bad pleather and useless. I threw it away immediately. The scabbard is a problem: it is ill-fitting and is probably part of the reason the spine of the sword is oddly worn. Plus, it keeps leaving a trail of gunk (like the back of a sticker) all over my sword when I put it in there. The point is especially covered with the crap. So that's a lot of negativity, but it is all cosmetic, just as promised. I'm super excited to own this sword and I can't wait to cut with it this summer.

    #7 Euro Double Handed Longsword

A clean and beautiful sword. Perfectly weighted to be able to wield it one handed. And the steel is really tough and strong. It’ll definitely hold up to a lot of abuse. Very, very pleased with purchase.
